Frequently Asked Questions About Massages and Spa Treatments

cHow does a classic massage affect the body?

A classic full-body massage is a fundamental therapeutic and relaxing treatment. It has a comprehensive effect on the body: it relieves muscle tension, improves blood circulation, and stimulates lymphatic drainage. Thanks to manual manipulation of the tissues, congestion is relieved, and pain in the back, neck, and shoulder area—caused by sedentary work—is reduced. In addition to physical recovery, the session helps stabilize the nervous system, reduce stress levels, and improve sleep quality.

Is a back massage beneficial for people with a sedentary lifestyle?

Massage is one of the most effective ways to prevent problems with the musculoskeletal system. Staying in the same position for long periods of time leads to strain on the back and neck muscles, impaired blood circulation, and headaches. A professional back massage helps relieve tension and stiffness, takes pressure off the spine, restores normal joint mobility, and improves posture. Regular sessions help the body cope more easily with static stress.

Why is it recommended to combine peels and spa wraps?

The results of a comprehensive body care regimen are significantly better than those of individual treatments. The first step usually involves a gentle exfoliation (such as a salt or coffee scrub), which gently removes dead skin cells and cleanses the pores. This prepares the skin to absorb beneficial substances as effectively as possible. The second stage involves a nourishing body wrap—either honey or chocolate. This combination boosts metabolism, triggers the detoxification process, deeply moisturizes the skin, makes it supple, and provides a long-lasting sense of relaxation.

At what age can you start giving a child a massage, and what is the purpose of it?

Child massage can be performed practically from the first months of life (provided there are no contraindications); however, preventive and strengthening sessions for preschool and school-age children have their own specific features. During this period, posture and the skeletal system are developing. Gentle therapeutic and preventive techniques help relieve physical fatigue after active play or activities, normalize muscle tone, improve coordination, and gently strengthen the immune system. It is important that the intensity of the massage is fully appropriate for the child’s age and developmental stage.

How should you prepare for a massage or spa treatment?

For maximum benefit and comfort during the treatment, we recommend following a few simple rules:

  • Avoid heavy meals for at least 1.5–2 hours before the session begins.
  • It is advisable to take a warm shower before the treatment to cleanse the skin and allow for better absorption of the natural oils.
  • Inform the therapist of any individual health conditions, chronic illnesses, or susceptibility to allergic reactions to certain ingredients (such as honey or essential oils).
  • After the session, take your time—let your body rest for 10–15 minutes and drink a glass of plain water or herbal tea to restore your fluid balance.
